- We are a group of Greater Mankato ladies and coaches who decided six years ago to start a women's hockey group in Mankato. As our coach says, we are a "social club with a hockey problem." We have progressed from skills and drills and are now working to find other women's teams who would like to play games. Our skill level is C2/C3, so give Lori a shout if you are interested in skating with us!
New Player Information
Our group meets Saturday mornings at 7:45 a.m. and we skate all year with a break during the holidays and when ice goes out in mid-April thru the first week of June. All icetime is at All Seasons Arena located at 1251 Monks Ave. in Mankato.
The practices are about 'fun and fundamentals'. Our coaches do 30-40 minutes of skills/drills then scrimmage for the remainder of the hour. This is a very encouraging, nonthreatening atmosphere in which to learn the game and skills of hockey. The group is well suited for the beginner thru the intermediate player.
Sound tempting but not sure? You may skate 3 times at a cost of $7.00 each. We also have some equipment to help you get started if needed and you may use hockey skates free of charge at the arena for a limited time.
